The Southern Indiana Cooperative Weed Management Area has identified a list of 18 Priority Species which pose an immediate threat to Southern Indiana's Natural Ecosystems. This Priority List will allow us to focus and maximize the resources of our Early Detection and Rapid Response Program. The Priority List has also been divided into Categories 1, 2, and 3 to show the degree of infestation in Southern Indiana. For more information on a specific species click on it's common name below. CATEGORY 1:
There are no known populations established in Southern Indiana. These species are establishing in neighboring regions or states. There is a high likelihood they will be introduced in the near future.
